By Jake Donovan - The first season of the revamped Telefutura Solo Boxeo Tecate boxing series came to a close on Friday evening, with Ronny Rios remaining unbeaten after his eight-round decision win over Adolfo Landeros in their eight-round main event at the Four Points Sheraton in San Diego, California.

Both fighters weighed in at the contracted limit of 128 lb.

That was a very solid 8 rounds of work that Rios put in tonight. Against an opponent who tougher than what his record indicated.

Rios' lack of power and leaky defense will prevent him from being World class, but he will keep making for good fights .

Landeros although not world class, always gives good fights. He gave WV2 a good fight also. Another Mexican young journeyman is Giovanni "El Ruso" Caro, he always gives good fights, although losing them.
