Why go for the body, time after time?

    I don't get it ...

There was so much animosity between them that he wanted to make sure RJJ endured a slow beating. He should of just knocked him out by going for his head, the weakness.

Also know offence to Jones Jr, I admire him the upmost he was one of the few that got me into boxing.

Very bro, I guess it's kinda because Hop was against a fighter that caused him problems in his prime so those memories were still prominent plus Jones knew how to negate his strengths

it didn't have anything to do with him fighting the wrong fight and everything to do with hopkins being old and shot.

          To slow him down...

B-Hop is smart, which means he won't fall into the trap of trying to look for that 1 shot Tarver and Green landed. RJ has showed that his legs and stamina aren't the same, but the only ones that have been able to really take advantage of it are stamina/output demons Calzaghe and Johnson.

B-Hop knew that his best shot at stopping him was to slow him down going to the body, but what he didn't calculate was that RJ's body is closest to prime version than any other body part. Another miscalculation was taking so much time for the fouls, he basically gave up all the body work he had done and let the man recuperate.

Pascal will feel it if he takes it to the body early, but he needs to land clean punches in every round to win clearly.

From the training videos for this fight, Hopkins has been working towards targeting the head, thoroughly. I feel sorry for Pascal ..

You mean targeting his head with his head.

I'm not hating on Benard, but the same time he throws the right hand he lowers his head a follows thru with it towards his opponent. So if he misses you with the right his head is coming right behind it. Very new meaning to the one two.

That s**t is down right scary to watch, imagine being in the ring with it. That moves throws fighters off, I think that was ONE of the reasons ROY looked that bad.

He seemed more concerned about getting butted. That tatic, yes tactic should illegal but Benard gets away with it.

Benard never let a opponent initiate their game plan, because as soon a Benard get done doing what he is doing he clinches. It's ugly to watch but effective.
