    Comments Thread For: Ricardo Mayorga Stops Michael Walker in Nine Rounds

    At the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida, former champion Ricardo Mayorga (29-7, 23KOs) stopped Michael Walker (19-6-3, 12KOs) in the ninth round. It was Mayorga's first fight in over two years. Mayorga was last seen in September 2008 when Shane Mosley knocked him out at twelfth round bell.

      It was a battle of titans, walker had ridiculous power and for being absent from the ring for a few years Mayorga was fricking ripped! The only reason Mayorga won was because of his jab, it was later revealed that Mayorga had hired Larry Holmes to be his jab coach.
      This fight is definitely fight of the year in Nicaragua!
