So Is Freddie Roach 2010 Trainer of the Year?

I think he bags it already and nobody even comes close. That'll be the 5th time Freddie gets the Futch-Condon award, the most by any trainer in history and his third straight which is never been done. LOL @ Floyd Sr. calling Roach the "Joke Coach". He and his brothers Roger and Jeff aint never been awarded one. He he he...

There's simply not that many good, and just about no great, trainers left in the sport. Freddie Roach would have been a common trainer fifty years ago, but today is considered as the best or among the best. It's sad, there used to be a Freddie Roach in every main city, now there is hardly any.

Although, it's as much due to his stable as anything. When you have a bunch of great fighters at the same gym, they spar and get better no matter what. That's a big part of it, having a great gym full of great fighters.

I can't really think of anyone else who has done anything, but it's not as if Roach has even done that much either. Unless taking Khan and giving him more stamina translates to something amazing, which is more to do with conditioning anyway. The guy has hardly changed and the weight jump had more to do with being better than anything else. What else is there?

Just 27. What do you mean 'just' 27? 27 is ****ing ancient for a prospect at any level. If he is a prospect with little technique at 27, he doesn't have much hope of getting better. Sure, he can get experience and tighten things up but really, that's how he'll always be.
