As reported a few days ago, and now confirmed by additional sources, contender Pawel Wolak (28-1, 18KOs) is the frontrunner to face WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (35-2, 28KOs) of Puerto Rico on March 12. Wolak is leading the race among the four possible choices, which include Vanes Martirosyan, Rigoburto Alveraz and IBF junior middleweight king Cornelius Bundrage.

Cotto will kick Wolak's ass. It's basically a tune up fight before he fights the Mexican piñata Margacheato...

Cotto got this. This will give him some ring-time before Margo.

                cotto vs vanes

i think vanes would dominate cotto. i am a cotto fan but i am realistic cotto was not a big welterweight let alone super welter. i think pre margarito cotto would have had a shot to beat or at least be competitive with mayweather and pacquio. He lost something in quiting to margarito that wont come back. that being said even before he took the beating from magarito i dont think he had a realistic shot @ 154 those guys are too big for him. it seems to me like they are managing cotto well now, keeping him away from fighters who will give him fits.
