Even with a criminal case, the victim can drop the charges altogether! Other than the victim's testimony, there really is no evidence. If the act was caught on tape or had witnesses, then I don't think it matters if the victim drops the charge. So I'm surprised this wasn't settled. It looks like the security guard will try to sue Floyd as well.
