What should have happened is that Berto would have fought Mosley then the winner take on Manny. That would have been fair and that would have made most people accept the fight.
Mosley vs. Berto not happening is what is messing everything up.
Either Berto would have won and he would have been seen as more legit, or Mosley would have won and he wouldn't be seen as shot.
