Comments Thread For: Khan vs Peterson in The Works For April Bout in England?

On the British show Ringside, WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan revealed that there is a good chance of Lamont Peterson being his April opponent in England. Peterson fought to a draw with Victor Ortiz in the co-feature to Khan's decision win over Marcos Maidana last Saturday. Most ringside observers had the fight easily scored for Ortiz, who dropped Peterson twice in the third round.

Nah, just a mild reference made to Peterson (he's good you willing to fight him? Yes I am I just beat Maidana) on a TV show and hyped into an article.

I saw quotes elsewhere, where Khan said Golden Boy wants him to fight Peterson because they think he can knock him out. May have been on Bunce's show.

Good job it's back in England. Then I won't have to stay up until 5am to watch it!

This would be a bad choice. Khan is in the US market he doesn't need to fight US fighters in the UK for the sake of it.

Then again, it would be good for boxing here if he brings names over.

I'm sure they'd prefer to bring over Judah but people are saying he's too old.

not a good move for team Khan. It would be better if he faces next the winner of Bradley/Alexnader fight. It will skyrocket his resume among the elites.

Might be a decent option with regards building an Ortiz fight storyline-wise. A keep-busy fight doesn't hurt him in my eyes after Maidana, just as long as he does fight the Bradley-Alexander winner
