      • floyd has a history of dangerous behavior and could be arrested....of course he can post bail.
floyd was convicted in 2002 of misdemeanor battery stemming from a fight with two women at a Las Vegas nightclub. He received a suspended one-year jail sentence....
he might be required to spend time with these new misdemeanors.

        • Cold be jail time for my boy Floyd

The face poking accusation will be paid off. That's a no brainer. The evidence is circumstantial, a my word against his word situation. Floyd and the Security Guard have history as far as communication is concerned which means the Security Guard can be contacted and Floyd's lawyer's can throw an undisclosed settlement amount at him ($100K).

The 8 remaining charges will boil down to the jury's perceived view of Floyd. Can the prosecutors get ppl to believe that Floyd would actually cause his child's mother bodily harm IN FRONT OF THE KIDS? Just as Floyd has a history of violence, his baby momma already has a history of fabricating facts and making outlandish accusations that were finally dismantled by attorneys.

What blows me away is why would she call the police on Floyd when both of them were arguing? I've talked to plenty of women and all of them would not call the police unless Floyd is KNOCKING THEM OUT. Why? because harsh words and arguments are easy to handle. Why throw your bread winner in jail? he makes anywhere from $60 million on year on up. It would be ****** to file charges against him over a war of words. Yes, she gets paid regardless if he's in jail or not, but she stands to miss out on much much much more money if he goes in. And believe me, she wants money.

On the flip side, Floyd has to be smarter. You can't engage into a hostile convo with ur child's mom. Then again, that's hard to say too. Most ppl don't realize how it easy ANYONE can file charges against you. I can say to a lady at gas pump "you're as ****** b*tch!" And BOOM, charges... While she's reporting the incident, she can say I kicked her tires, and her door. She can also point to a dent that's been there for months and claim I caused that damage. Now i have to prove I didn't do what she claimed. In the meantime, charges are floating over my head. Do i fight them in court, or settle out?

This is the reason stars like Jay-Z are so reclusive. They refuse to be around ppl unless it's a major event. They realize they are a walking meal ticket. One slip of the tongue is all it takes. No physical violence necessary. No one wants to deal with the courts at all- even if it's a misdemeanor charge. Ppl realize that high profile ppl are more prone to just paying off the person and not have to deal w/ it at all.

Being rich is a pain in the ass.

Personally, I think that if Mayweather punched Harris, then he should be charged with assault. If it was a domestic argument that got out of hand, then everyone should grow the *** up and get a life, because who really cares?

Either way, great post man, good stuff.

It sounds to me like you understand that guys point of view.
Most civilians would probably let "face-poking" slide if it happened to them. But people in law enforcement and security have to REPORT even minor incidents like this or they wouldn't be doing their job. I don't want security guards from my building allowing themselves to get bullied by anyone even by a crazy resident! All the residents PAY these guards to protect the building!!

But if the guard actually tries to sue Floyd in civil court for "poking him in the face", then i'd say he's a straight-up d0uchebag opportunist!! I have a feeling he will because a criminal charge followed by an arrest opens the door to a civil suit.

Reading the whole thread especially the people who over react looked like clueless dumbazzes and clearly didn't know what their own law dictates on pro boxers.
yeah. i actually was one of those dumb asses until you pointed out that fact, lol.

That's pretty much how I see it.

Although, you cannot tell me that ticketing two of Mayweathers cars was "protecting the building". Why didn't he call one of Mayweather's people? That parking warden is just a whiney opportunistic b1tch.

The point I was making is that to the rest of the world, US law is largely a joke.

Floyd's gotta follow the rules of the neighborhood just like everyone else living there. "Calling one of Mayweather's people" would easily be considered special treatment! He shouldn't receive that kind of treatment over other paying residents!! Floyd shoulda just taken the tickets and pay the fines. Much cheaper than what's happening right now, right????
