    Is it fair to say in todays boxing.. if you dont win

    a world title, you have failed as a professional boxer?

    i understand not everyones aim is to win one but not winning one, i think your a bum and shouldnt even be looked at.

    Decent fighter, very average or probably even below average..

    guys who dont win world titles r BUMS!

      tricky one....alot of people say that nowadays world titles are worthless etc but at the same time if a boxer dont win a world title he is considered a failure....bit of a catch 22 situation...

            Championship titles in boxing are to set you up for bigger money fights. Once you win a couple of titles and are known as a former champion your name can be used as a legit opponent.
