Hop lost a split on home turf, that's the same as losing unanimous anywhere else. It was an ugly fight (thanks to Hopkins) that no one would want to see again. And who would want to see Joe fight Tarver after he already beat the guy who beat Tarver? The only one you can maybe argue for is Dawson.
chaos, you having a laugh...fake injury, calzaghe was the biggest injury faker out their just ask frank warren lol. so bute, froch, pascal were all not a draw? all unbeaten fighters knocking on joes door? joe fought bika, sheika, manfredo who were all big draws is that what your saying???? then fights a 43 and a 40 year old bhop and jones and the ppv,s for both fights were pathetic....next

You're well aware that Warren sued Joe after he left him so why do you place so much value in what he says? And if you admit the ppv for Bhop was pathetic what incentive would there be for a rematch when Joe won the first fight easily? Joe was 36 when he retired, you act like he was 26. He tried to get fights with Hop and RJ long before but neither wanted to fight him because he wasn't a big enough draw at that point, or at least that's what people use as the excuse. You obviously don't like Joe and that's fine, but stop making things up and twisting facts to prove a point.

chaos, so now im making things up about joe? what did i make up thats already not in the public domain? look, joe and froch would have been a massive domestic fight in britain, so to say it wernt a big draw is poppy****. you mentioned joe being 36 years old, my word, bhop and jones were blazing at that age as is sergio martinez now, so your arguments dont hold water. the fact is joe didnt take the best fights to cement his legacy. why bika why sheika why manfredo and 2 old boyo,s bhop and jones.

He's racist, egotistical, boring to watch, and obnoxious.

And he's going to kick Pascal's ass.

Not for even a second since this fight was announced have I thought that Hopkins has a shot. I'm 100% positive he loses, and about 90% sure he doesn't make it to the final bell.

Yes, I'm sure if Joe had fought Froch in England in 2008 you would have been satisfied and we wouldn't be having this discussion. Lying that Joe fakes injury instead of addressing the fact that Hopkins does that regularly during fights and twice against Joe is making up facts. Saying that he avoided Hop and RJ when it was the other around is making up facts. You see what I'm getting at here? With regards to retirement, I would've liked for him to keep going but you can't force a guy to keep fighting if he doesn't want to. He made a lot of money and decided enough was enough. Guys like Martinez are just starting to make that kind of money so he's obviously not going to retire anytime soon, whereas Joe was already making big money before he came Stateside, so he didn't need to stick around just for the paydays. Also, His style of fighting does not lend itself to competing for too long because he was very active and always had a very high punch output and that usually slows down with age. RJ relied on reflex (as opposed to work rate like Joe), and that too doesn't lend itself to old age as I'm sure we can all agree. Bhop is different though because he's a grinder and he holds a lot so it doesn't take as much out of you and you can last longer (similar to Couture in MMA, only he never fights dirty). I'm through arguing with you because you can't be reasoned with and you do not address the arguments that refute your points, so have a good night.

chaos, lets try again buddy. calzaghes own promoter said that joe faked injuries....twice with glen johnstone, yeah twice. tarver said and i quote, i wouldnt like to train for 8 weeks for joe calzaghe to pull out with a broken finger nail lol. futhermore, warren said joe wanted to pull out of the lacey fight 2 weeks before and had to be coaxed to go through with it, and what happened?he totally dominated lacy. all facts, should we just disbeleive everybody and everything thats said? warren was part of joes team and you or i cannot just dispel what he said.

TS is too obsessed with boxers and thier PERSONAL lives. It dont matter if b-hops boring, hes out there to win in any fashion he wants. granted a lot of other posters, if there were in b-hops shoes, would try to at least win, even in boring fashion.

Last time it was Britain's future hall of famer and undefeated genius, Joe Calzaghe who shut him up, this time it will be Pascal.

I predict, and sincerely hope, that Popkins is BRUTALLY knocked out and carried away on his back. Nothing short of what that vile racist deserves.
Joe Calzaghe was a great champion, he takes a lot of critiscism but if you ever had to pick a fighter you could rely on to grind out a scorecard victory over a taxi driver, you'd have to pick Joe Calzaghe. In fact, if the taxi driver was in his 40's and the fight was in Wales, I would bet my house on it, he was a legend!
