K9 is crazy if he thinks Steward won't train Cotto for this fight.

Very smart by Team Cotto. Get this fight done in the early part of March and pick up another trincket. Barring an eye injury, Cotto should then be able to make some real cheddar in June around the PR Day Parade versus Margs...or maybe JCC Jr if NY State Athletic Commission doesn't approve numb nuts' license. That would then make approximately 3 or so fights Cotto has under Steward and will have grown into a full 154 frame where a 160 fight vs. SMart for the MW green belt could be the pot of gold at the end. And I would fully expect Sergio to beat Cotto but I see the fight as extremely competitive where a rematch could be warranted. So who knows but I do like Cotto's 2011 path as it seems to be an 8 figure journey!Comment

Who gave him props? He was shitted on for the Clottey fight and shitted on even more for not throwing in the towel and giving sorry advice for the Pacquiao fight.
It's funny people want Steward instead of Joe Santiago?

Cotto is just a different animal than Spinks...Cotto can hurt you, Cory can't.Those of you that think this would be easy for Cotto didn't see Spinks-Bundrage. Spinks was ranked #2 by the Ring just a couple weeks before that fight was announced, when he was removed for inactivity, and K-9 BRUTALIZED him. There wasn't a second of that fight that Cory looks like he had a chance. It looked like a 12 year old flyweight versus an adult Jr. Middleweight.Comment

If this is true that Steward would not train Miguel for the fight, then this is a horrible fight. Otherwise fine by me. Decent name, winnable fight and another belt.Comment
