WBA super featherweight champion Takashi Uchiyama (16-0, 13KOs) was scheduled to make the third defense of his title on January 10 at the Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo, Japan. The opponent, WBA-interim champion Jorge Solis (40-2-2, 29KOs) of Mexico, has withdrawn due to illness. The promoters are hoping to schedule the event to late January or February. It's being reported that Solis has pneumonia.
