Marquez - "If Mayweather fights Pacquiao -c'mon - we all know what's going to happen. Mayweather is just too slick. He'll pick him apart."

De La Hoya - I can't find a link, but I did read in an article where De La Hoya predicts Mayweater over Pacquiao. If anyone finds a link, feel free to post it.

Don't get me wrong, De La Hoya has made inaccurate predictions previously. But fact of the matter is, the above 3 fighters have more credibility than any of us spectating fans put together (including myself).

We (fans/viewers at home on the couch) can speculate all we want about who we "THINK" would win. Fact of the matter is, all 3 mutual opponents of Mayweather/Pac all pick Mayweather as the victor.

    Thoughts??

Predications are just that.. Predications... No one knows the outcome of the that fight unless they both settle it in the ring..

90% of the boxing community had DLH either KOing or stopping Pac and those were just predications.... No one would of ever thought Pac would of stopped DLH in that manner..

Sure DLH and FM are two different fighters but dont led Floyds undefeated record fool you into thinking he is invincible... Keep in mind his level of competition in the last 3 years.. Lay offs plus easy pickings..

                Fights on paper<<
Not to thump my own chest...at the time, I loathed Tyson because I think that he was bastardizing the sport of boxing being conditioned with the "sweet science" by Muhammad Ali.

I grew up with Ali's defensive nature of using the jab, shuffling and not letting the opponent come in or suffer the consequences of dealing with his RIGHT CROSS and the LEFT HOOK/LEFT UPPERCUT...

Having said that, I've always asserted to myself and friends within boxingdom that TYSON would lose to someone who isn't scared and would use the very same things I have mentioned above.

Mainly the JAB, the CROSS, the LEFT HOOK/UPPERCUT...but the JAB is to keep Tyson from coming in too close to maul someone.

Lo, and behold, though I didn't know Buster Douglas at the time, I saw the first round and "knew" that it was the end of Tyson. My father and friends wouldn't believe me but obviously stuck throughout the whole fight.

I could have made some money to bet with all of them and make a killing.

To make the story short, Tyson's brutal loss with a DB's KO on him really validated my belief in Ali's "sweet science". I still think that this is the way to beat any would be "maulers"...

so this is what happens in boxing when two fighters just won't fight. fans are reduced to offering opinions about opinions.

i really, really wish those two would fight already and just shut everyone up.

Interesting hatton got ktfo, jmm cried like a ***** and oscar quit hmmmm.

Oscar won some rounds vs floyd and so did hatton. Jmm fought pac at 130...

However floyd would test pac. Right now, both have another level imo, they both seem to he playing
