Khan's chin is better but still his weak point!

Khan's chin has gotten better since the step up in weight class, his chin has also gotten better due to the fact the freddie has built up amir's neck and shoulder muscles to withstand the impact's of a punch. But he has also taught amir to lean and roll with the punches to make them less affective. i know this has nothing to do with his chin but his conditioning was also very effective on saturday due to how quickly he recoverd and re-grouped after he was shaken, thats why his chin held up IMO.

his defence is weak compared with his offence but his defence can improve but you can not toughen up a chin tho.

I was a bit disappointed with Amirs defence on Saturday. He should have sticked throwing punches after having thrown a jab. I was surprised he neglects to put his left hand up when going backwards.

He also didnt move away after he threw a punch.

He didn't stick to the gameplan though. We saw Khan box on pure instinct through those middle rounds. He was up for seeing what he could and experimenting.

The chin will always be the same chin but it can take plenty of punishment. Problem is that his boxing defense isn't natural. He has to be told to do it and when he is shook up, as he was in the later rounds, his skills go out the window.

He actually started to just run around for a while and was forgetting to engage at all. So many times he could have tagged Maidana nand he didn't because he was still shook.

He needs a lot more work in terms of feet and close quarters fighting/counter-punching before he leaves 140 or the big guys will spark him out again.

His chin is fine,he took bombs from a big puncher and didnt go down, that'l do me,the worry is the fact that he took so many shots

After he abandond the game plan i saw a mojor diffrence, so next i hope he sticks to it for the whole twelve rounds and he needs to stop coming out of exchanges with his chin up and hands down.

his chin is fine against a brawler.... and he took some shots at the begging of the fight just to show he can take them i think, but still took to many shots for my liking.

I think his chin is okay, but he needs to work on his defense and stamina. The number of slow, telegraphed punches he took from Maidana was absurd for a guy with Khan's speed and reflexes.
