I don't know. Any fight where a 3-1 'dog beats an undefeated fighter on the road is a fairly notable upset to me.

his defeat to smith was close and controversial (i had simpson winning) also his losses to appleby (slip judged as kd, cost him fight), a 1 point loss against williams when the ref was the sole judge of british title fights.

also this was lindsays toughest assignment to date and despite what the bookies said, was a pick em fight

well then i hope you were wise and took easy money from the bookies.

I understand that Simpson is a tough fighter and has been competitive in most of his losses. But in the grand scheme of things, it's an upset. Regardless, it's a good win for him, and perhaps even sets up a return go with Smith.

Great performance by Simpson last night and I wasn't shocked that he won tbh. I think Simpson is a great little fighter. In fact there can't be a fighter that gives more and is always in entertaining fights, Simpsons a little machine! Even better that it was in Belfast too as I seen what effect that atmosphere had on Appleby. (although further questions remain over Appleby after his last fight)

Another great win for us Scots!

great fight. And another example of why British boxing is yards ahead of American boxing.
