It's silly to use the Mayweather fight as an indicator of Mosley's so-called "decline". Floyd's tactical style was always likely to cause Shane problems. But he's usually been in his element against fighters who've come at him.

Mosley is ATG and still retains plenty of threat. Only a fool would write him off. Pac is the clear favourite. But this is no easy fight.

As for Berto. When he's achieved a tenth of what either Pac or Shane has he'll move out of the Wannabee league.

NO IT WONT BE COMPETETIVE I WILL NOT PAY FOR ANYMORE OF PACS GARBAGE FIGHTS, he needs to stop facing washed up ex-champions coming off of losses, in fact ive never seen a fighter get soo much credit for pretty much not beating a single guy in their career or physical prime. nobody with half a brain would think this is a good fight, nobody wants to see it but manroid and arum they dont want challenges that much is clear.a prime mosley would put away pacroid inside 5 ,this mosley is just garbage of a matchup from every angle its garbage. pac would sell even more if he faced top comp, .at this point delahoya has a better legacey of facing the absolute best pac has yet to do that.any top guy like,berto,jmm,martinez,anybody thats a threat, pac just ducks em, dont know why people praise pac for that.

As long as Shane comes ready to fight without the "Parkinsons" shake he had in the Mayweather fight, I'm ok with this matchup. I think I've bought my final Pacquiao fight however until he picks a real opponent. By that I mean Berto, Bradley, even Khan for that matter. Heck, I'd even rather see him fight Malignaggi. Martinez at middleweight at a catchweight? Why not? Maybe 155 or whatever.

The reason why we're stuck with is that most mexicans and filipinos aren't "real" boxing fans. They're just nationalists. That means they won't be tuning in for the Bradley/Alexander fight even though it's much better than what we saw from Pacman vs. Margarito. I haven't met anyone yet in my wife's family(filipino) or co-workers(mexicans) that gives a hoot whenever there's a fight without either Pacquiao or a big name Mexican fighter. It's the unfortunate truth that the best fighters don't fight each other anymore. Boxing has a small educated fan-base, and way too many uneducated fans of the big PPV's that will buy any fight Rob Arum or whoever puts in front of them as long as their man is in the ring.

It would be nice if there was an outside governing body that mandated who fights who based on rankings or something rather than what we have now...which is guys who are protected until they get 20+ wins, then get tested a few times. If they win those crucial 2-4 fights they become elite and go back into protective care of their promoter for the remainder of their career never to fight real competition again until the twilight of their career where they posture for that one BIG megafight such as Floyd and Pac are doing now.

Mosley is the next best thing as far as the promoters and HBO are concerned. At least he has name recognition. Maybe a few fringe fans will be swayed into getting the fight. Maybe it will will billed as some sort of American vs. Filipino thing kinda Like Rocky 4 with USA vs. U.S.S.R.

Hate to do a UFC vs. boxing comparo, but the UFC as well as other MMA promotions have been really good about pitting the best fighters against each other. Not only that, but the all important undefeated record in boxing is not so coveted in MMA. You regularly see the "top" MMA fighters with 11-6 records or something like that. That's what happens when you take top guys and put them in amongst each other on a regular basis. As long as fans are dumb and uneducated, they'll like this crap that we keep getting from boxing. Not sure what it will take however for the fans to get wise...that's the problem.

Shane is the only fight that makes sense right now.

Pacquiao would get more fighting Shane than all the times hes fought marquez and if he would've fought berto combined. Shane is also a first ballot HOFer, piss breath and berto aint. Shane has beaten elite fighers before, piss drinker and berto have NEVER in their entire careers beat ONE elite fighter.

Mosley needs the money cuz Jin needs new clothes. Marquez would just piss the money away. And then drink it back up LMAO. Berto is already overpaid as is.

I like what Joe Goosen had said. The only problem is if Shane knows that he hurt you he will follow up. Did he do that to Floyd, Floyd was almost knock down in the 2nd rd and was hurt, but he could not follow up. I'm not saying he's getting old.

Nobody cares about UFC or MMA honestly I don't think it is a sport. Yes an entertainment for the most shallow mind. A street brawl, you hit your opponent when down, only animals does that.
