    Bradley doesn't need Alexander's belt.

He's a young hungry fighter that has better things to do with his purse and money than to pay sanctioning fees to numerous bodies. The WBO is just fine. He only needs one belt.

After he beats Alexander, he knows he'd be in-line for another unification with Khan. That fight would be for the Ring Magazine title and the lineal championship. He even doesn't Khan's WBA belt, just the Ring Magazine belt.

    Bradley loses to Khan though.

I can't blame Bradley. You just need one belt for the record.
      yes

when a man becomes the top dog in his division, he doesn't even need any belt anymore

if Bradley beats Alexander and Khan, I hope he will vacate his WBO title too, that would be a great slap in the face of the sanctionning bodies while he would still be recognized as the Man

Makes all the sense in the world and more fighters should do it. If more fighters did it and the belt commissions started losing money some things might change. Once a fighter reaches a certain level they make the belt the belt doesn't make them.

The WBC belt is not the most prestigious. What ever belt carries the lineal chip is the best. If Devon wins, then the WBC belt will be the true champion

Wrong! Ring Belt is the only belt that matters end of thread.

            People underestimate belts power.

Yes paying a % of your purse isn't great, but your name gets out with title fights.

Without the WBC, Witter and Bradley wouldn't be made.

Fights wouldn't be made, and although money is the key, Kotelnik would be not in the picture at all without his WBA title.

Belts matter, whether we like it or not.

The Ring and Lineal Champ is the most important however.

Good point. Sanctioning bodies do get fights made.

Perfect example would be the IBF - they have their 4-fighter eliminator at Heavyweight to find their next mandatory challenger/number-1 contender.

Ajose Olusegun and Erik Morales are ranked number 1 and 2 by the WBC. They will probably fight for the vacant title if Timothy Bradley loses to Devon Alexander.
