    "a real boxing fan"

What makes someone a real boxing fan?

    Is it attending live events?
    Ordering PPVs?
Studying the intricacies and details of the sport?
    Preferring a specific style?
    Watchings 10 fights a day?
    Enjoying tactical bouts over slugfests?
Knowing the dialogue to Rocky by heart?

What exactly makes one a real boxing fan?

If someone says they are than I accept it. I know I'm a boxing fan but maybe I wouldn't meet someone else's standards.

If you love, like, respect, or watch Paulie Malinaggay you are not a real boxing fan. Or heterosexual.

If you watch the sport. If you enjoy the sport. If you imitate the sport. If you respect the sport, and if you respect the fighters and what they do in the sport in order to feed their families. You're a boxing fan.

If you simply watch one person fighting, and following that one person throughout his whole career you're a fan of that one person. Not boxing.

I think anyone who can enjoy watching two guys boxing regardless of the level they're at, is a hardcore boxing fan. It's all subjective however.

Unlike everyother sport, boxers only fight a few times a year at most

Most fans are not like us who on go on forums in between fights an discuss their lives.

Just because a guy cant immediatly tell you his round by round score card from Floyd-DLH doesnt mean he is not a boxing fan

being a 'real' boxing fan means that when an influx of new fans come because of a new fighter, you try to alienate them..you despise the fact that boxing has caused more fans because they 'dont know as much as you'...THAT is what a 'real' boxing fan is
