I want this rematch before Ortiz makes a jump in weight. The way he choked against Lamont shows Maidana could get to him again. He had a KO in his grasp and was too abashed to go for it. Call it 50-50 at this point. Either guy could win.

I thought Pre-Peterson fight that Ortiz could easily beat Maidana if he fought smart.
Not sure if he knows how now.
I got Maidana by late TKO.

Ortiz was running from Lament who is smaller and don't hit the way Maidana does.
After that last fight, I never want to see Ortiz again TBH.

i dont think hes ever had a killer instinct to begin with, once his opponent makes a competitive fight his confidence seems to evaporate
and i think maidana KO's him in the middle rounds

23 may be a bit young to write a fighter off. Ortiz could realistically not reach his prime for another 5-7 years.

If he fights Maidana again he might just end up emulating Vargas.
His career might end in 5 years if hes not careful.
