Maidana would have a chance because he almost won on Saturday but i would go by Khan to win by a wider UD this time.
Khan vs Maidana: Who would you favor in a rematch?

The people should be laughed at who say Khan completely outclassed him. It could easily been called a draw without the KD from the body shot and the point deduction by ***** ass Cortez. The chances of Khan landing another body shot like that would be slim. It's a pick em fight. Clear to see it can go either way. I personally give it a 50/50 chance for either guyComment

The statistics don't lie.
Sure it could. But Maidana *was* knocked down. And he did throw a wild elbow. Now, we can debate all we like whether the latter warranted a point deduction. But the fact remains that if you're in the ring with a dangerous opponent who holds considerable speed and technical advantages - as well as a referee who is KNOWN for taking a tough line with fighters (think of Hatton vs Mayweather) - you cannot afford to give away even the sniff of a foul. Only a moron or a beaten fighter lashes out with his elbow *RIGHT UNDER THE NOSE OF THE REFEREE (it might even have hit him)* and Maidana has solely himself to blame. It could easily been called a draw without the KD from the body shot and the point deduction by ***** ass Cortez.
And the chances of Khan fighting Maidana at his own game (after proving what he set out to achieve - the solidity of his chin) would be even slimmer. He'd fight from distance and carve him up like a Christmas turkey. The chances of Khan landing another body shot like that would be slim.
I'm sure that's what you believe.It's a pick em fight.Comment

I agree with a lot of your points. That body shot KO he landed in the 1st round turned out to be a godsend for Khan, and proved to be the primary reason for him winning that fight, IMO. That left Maidana severely gassed, as was evident during (I think) the 7th round and onwards where he could barely get off his stool. This also robbed him of his punching power, especially towards the later rounds of the fight. I also don't see how Khan completely outclassed Maidana. During the early rounds Khan actually did make Marcos look bad by both outboxing and outhitting him, but Maidana had just been blasted in the liver and dropped at the end of the first. I wouldn't expect most fighters to be that active after something like that, let alone actually get up from that kind of shot. It's clear that once he started to recoup he began to pressure Khan again and was able to land more shots than in the first few rounds. As for the ref, I knew he was going to play a role in the outcome of this fight, but I don't necessarily blame him for Maidana's loss. Yes, he was interfering way too much for my liking and breaking the fighters up when it wasn't warranted, but it was on Maidana to knock Khan out in the final rounds and he couldn't.The people should be laughed at who say Khan completely outclassed him. If there were to be a rematch, I'd also give the both fighters equal chances of winning. Both of these fighter's flaws and weaknesses are easily exploited by the other's strengths.Comment

Khan.
That fight was only slightly close because maidana got lucky with a swing from the floor- eyes closed type deal.
he doesnt land that lucky shot again.Comment

I'd say there is more of a chance that Maidana lands another right to Khan's face than there is of Khan landing another liver shot KO.Comment

That body shot weakened Maidana's power shots. I think that's why Khan was able to hold on along with Maidana gassing out a bit.Comment

I say Khan beats him more convincingly this time. I'd be disappointed if it was close again. Maidana's too damn predictable... Khan should get it by now.Comment
