Though this was from March of 2010...it isn't "old" news.

You mean the guy that picked JMM to beat Mayweather? After firstly saying Mayweather would duck him!!! And the guy that later said Mayweather cherrypicked JMM after JMM lost? Yeah great opinion..

Bert Sugar is a BOXING HISTORIAN, he is not a boxing predictor-wager. Likewise, a boxing predictor-wager isn't necessarily a BOXING HISTORIAN.

Everyone has their own place and Bert Sugar carved his own niche already.

even so, Bert Sugar flip flops too much for my liking.

i mean; he LOVED the idea of Mayweather vs. Marquez and calling it his toughest fight.... then he pickets Mayweather after beating him.

and he also considers Shane Mosley as a "great jabber", and we both know that's false.

Bert Sugar is done a fork should be stuck in him. Nothing but a old man living off of his past. I didn't see the youtube of his opinion, the past few years the man just contradicts and flip flops so much that whatever he has to say goes in one ear and out of the other.

His "take on mayweather" has nothing to do with him being a historian. Could you tell me what your referring to in the bolded, you should take every bert sugar media video with a grain of salt.

I think Bert has a point about Mayweather. He's the type of fighter that focuses on the mental aspects of boxing just as much as the physical one's and it looks like he might have psyched himself out of the fight with Pac...Floyd is usually great at getting inside people's heads, but I think it backfired with Pacquiao
