Guys are often ranked ok at a new weight based on they're entire resume, which does have some weight pardon the phrase, at a new weight.

Margarito beat Robert Garcia whom had beaten a good few ppl at the weight and won. He legibly won, one of the 4 main belts in the division. Christ he wasn't the king of the division, no one said that. He didn't have the Ring belt. It is what it is.

His defence was against the best fighter in the world. He lost.
