he is, but in his last few recent fights he's rehydrated all the way to nearly junior middleweight. He can fight at 140. He's pretty damn big for 135 and clearly doesnt hold the weight well if hes rehydrating that much

once the two of them trade bombs.. is gonna become a brawl.... and when that happens we will see like my amigo contreras says... QUIEN ES EL MAS MACHO!!!!!!!
Maybe Ortiz should fight Rios? I mean he looks like he is lacking serious killer instinct these days, a grudge match might be exactly what he needs to get the fire in his belly. I think it'd be an awesome fight.

Does anybody know what the full story is between these guys? Only it seems to me that these guys are hating on Ortiz just like guys like Margarito, Vargas, JCC hated on Oscar. He's successful, has money and fame, but isn't an elite fighter? I disagree with you though mellow. I mean why would fans want to see a guy who ****s on someone with parkinsons and acts all bad ass on 24/7....compare that with Ortiz in his interviews who is always humble, kind and stuff.....that appeals to people a lot more. It's why Oscar was a huge success and Vargas never got the recognition from casual fans he did. Maybe Ortiz is just trying to be Oscar, but Oscar isn't as bad as people make him out to be. He was good for the sport and still can be. And it's better to have someone like Oscar as a role model than someone like Margarito!

Ortiz won't break down like he did against Maidana. Ortiz was standing and willingly trading against Maidana who is much more of a puncher than Rios. Rios doesn't have nearly the amount of power that Maidana does. Rios is also extremely hittable. He stands there with no movement and comes forward; that would play perfectly into Ortiz's hands considering he boxes and moves. Plus Ortiz has much more power. I see Rios having trouble connecting because he throws his punches in a more thudding fashion than with as much snap as a fighter who connected well like Lamont Peterson. When you throw punches like that, you are much slower. It's the same way fighters like Margarito and Maidana throw their punches. Yes it has power, but that makes it slower and more prone to miss. Plus you have to add Ortiz's new emphasis on defense and caution, he isn't going to fall into Rios's game like Anthony did.

Well Margarito isn't exactly a hard-ass. Outside of De la Hoya, he's a pretty humble guy as well. Rios on the other hand..

To the other guy how is Ortiz so much bigger than Rios when they say Ortiz weighed 156 against L. Peterson and Rios weighed 151 for A. Peterson in a fight that was at 135. I can't agree with Ortiz being to big for Rios.
Thanx, when it comes to the Peterson Bros & the Klitshko's I always get them confused!!! & what U said to the other guy(AKATheMack) in regards to Ortiz not being or not that much bigger than Rios, U'r right..Ortiz & Rios are the same height(5'9") & have the same reach (70") & they are only 1 weight class apart...So if Rios was to go up he wouldn't be in such a big size disadvantage as some are trying to make it seem..The ONLY disadvantage for Rios would be skill wise where Ortiz has way better fighting skills...
