If you're a junior middleweight champion, please explain to me why you would have a problem fighting junior middleweights?

i don't know, maybe because it's a one shot deal? or maybe because fighting way bigger opponents is finally taking its toll on his body? or maybe juuuust maybe his fckin lightweight frame actually has a fckin limit and can't handle fighting fckin junior middleweights with fckin 20 pound advantage over him back to back?

there is a difference between someone going up in weight, giving up 20 pounds in the process and (catcweight or not) snatching a belt that you were never really expected to obtain to begin with, given the weight you started at (for exhibition, money, legacy, whatever), and expecting the same fighter to fckin clear the whole damn division.

you want to talk about logic? that was his first fight at that weight, and you expect him to fight sergio next? come the fck on, brah. at least let the little bastard settle at that weight first (if it's even possible)... is that really too much to ask?

Arguments aside, I seriously don't think Manny can physically fight at above 147. The junior middleweight title was a huge mistake on their part because people are now claiming that he can actually fight at that weight. He got lucky with Margarito and I don't think he should put his body in anymore danger since he's got another career to look out for.

Martinez was looking for a payday. First he said that he was too small, but then after Dibella talked to him he changed his mind. Manny IS A LMW Belt holder after all. A catchweight at 154 was more than reasonable. I do feel that Manny IS small for Martinez, but if that is the case, then there should have never been a LMW fight vs Margarito for a belt in the first place. I rather see Martinez vs Mayweather anyways and I favor Martinez but Manny just needs to drop the belt and clean 140-147 and call it a day
