Amir won atleast 7 rounds. Atleast. Top that with the knock down and Maidanas illegal elbow and the scores will be very wide. I had Maidana only winning 3 rounds: 7,10 and 12. I scored the tenth round a 10-8 round for Maidana.

Score total: 116-110

Yes, it was a great fight but Amir could have made it alot easier for himself.

It was just a great fight, but instead people want to focus on joe cortez, what if there were 10 more seconds in the 1st? What if there were 10 more seconds in the 10th? All this bull**** about both fighters getting lucky, the fight played out the way the fight played out the right man won and it was a great night for boxing, simple as that.

As a khan fan im excited by his performance, because he almost needed it for his career, even though in many aspects of his performance he underperformed. But then again he is still very much a young fighter. Im more excited by the room for improvement in his game, like I said tactically he fought a poor fight, in sequences he stuck to the game plan and that when he had most success, using his jab, fighting on the outside, tying him up on the inside, rolling him when on the ropes...he just doesn't have that consistency in his performance yet, but he will get there and that is an ominous sign for the other titlist.

Big shout to maidana, I think he will go on and win a world title. He will probably win some and lose some in a highly competitive division but will always give value for money, true warrior.

how could you not give maidana rounds 3 and 6 the only close round i gave to maidana was the 11th

Some people in this forum said dumb things like: "khan took maidana to school" or "maidana expose khan". I think marcos and amir made a great fight (in my opinion a draw, but i accept the 113-112 card for khan) both of them showed that they are world class.

Maidana showed that he is not only a puncher, he is also is a great pressure fighter and can force a stylist to brawl. also he has big cojones for getting up for that huge body shot.

khan showed that he can take a punch and has a warrior's heart. I can't stand people saying that he fought dumb just because he got caught by maidana in the 10th round. I mean nobody can punch and hide for 36 minutes.

I think we need to see obviously more from this 2 guys on HBO, and maybe a rematch.
