Could Big George beat Klitschko?

whatever?
You say Foreman was not particularly devastating . . .George Foreman in his prime was possibly the hardest hitter in HW history. Such a remark shows IGNORANCE. You also say Foreman has poor boxing skills, but anyone with two eyes can see films of Foreman and Klitschko and see that whatever Klitschko does Foreman does twice as well. How many Foreman fights in from the 1970s have you seen anyway? Probably just his fight with Ali and a clip from the Frazier fight . . .don't make judgements when you don't have the background info neccesary to make them . .

If they fought today Big George would get humiliated I never want to see it happen. Vitali also would most likely have beaten the 38-45 year old versions of Foreman. Foreman in his prime would have knocked Vitali senseless within 2 rounds. Im a fan of Vitali but you just have to be realistic sometimes.

Foreman today would have a decent chance of catching Vitali and hurting him BAD. I don't think he has even Vitali's stamina at this stage but I would bet the power is still there. He'd be a very live underdog.
In his prime? Don't be rediculous! Foreman would KO Vitali within four or five rounds. His hands were even heavier than Vitali (watch him as he anhilates Frazier who had a good chin and Norton who was considered tough until Foreman fought him). Do you really think Vitali hits as hard as Foreman? Vitali, who couldn't finish off Lewis when he was hurt (something both McCall and Rahman could do, and Shannon Briggs almost suceeded at) and hit Corrie Sanders with everything but the kitchen sink and still couldn't get a KO? Vitali, who throws arm punches with nothing but his shoulder behind them?
Vitali is only a good (not even very good) puncher. He may have the potential to hit harder than he does, but I've never seen him do it, even when an opponent was hurt and helpless before him. He is strong (though not quite as strong as Foreman IMO), but he isn't as quick or explosive as Big George, and to say he is more skilled than a prime Foreman is just plain incorrect. Foreman was much more agile on his feet and had quicker hands as well.
Vitali is the best there is today, in what is probably the worst heavyweight era in history. People called Louis' era weak but at least there was Louis (he alone had more talented than every top ten heavyweight today combined) and at least his oponents knew the basic fundamentals of boxing and weren't there to just get hit.
The honest truth is that Abe Simmon or even Buddy Baer would have likely been very competitive with Vitali. Don't even get me started on what Max Baer or Schmeling would have done to him.
