I've seen it posted here already several times, but what is up with that? Khan and Pac both have the same weakness, uppercuts just slice through their defense like its nothing. Any insiders/technicians who can elaborate on this? It must have something to do with the way Roach trains his fighters. Especially on the ropes with their hands up, it seems impossible for them to defend those huge uppercuts blasting on their chins. Maidana landed a ****load on saturday!
Seriously what's up with the uppercut vulnerability?

You make fair points. Though the little macho things he did was more to prove a point against his critics than anything else. But he definitely has a lot of defensive traits that Pac has as well. Can't be a coincidence right?I talked about this yesterday and some people called me an idiot lol.

right, I think naturally just training/sparring together and of course being trained by roach khan is going to pick up some things.
I think people in my thread were making it seem like I was saying khan fights exactly like pacquiao, which I wasn't, just picked up a couple of things.
I don't remember ever seeing khan really fight like that before but I only watched a handful of his pre-roach days.
Roy Jones made a good point about cuffing the hand to block an uppercut...I wonder why Roach doesn't teach that.Comment

Maidana is a true 140 pounder and has one hell of a chin at that.
I don't like JMM's chances against khan's power at 140. Well, maybe but not after he hits the canvas a couple times firstComment

Maidana seems to eat everything like candy, even if it knocks him down. You see it in the Ortiz fight as well, it's like his berzerker mode is switched on once u get him in trouble.
JMM does have a beautiful uppercut, but still he has to get inside to land it, Khan would keep him at a distance. JMM is not a pressure fighter like Marcos.Comment

What do you think about a potential Maidana-Matthysse fight?
I would pay for that.
I think its an excellent comeback fight before going after Peterson, Ortiz or Judah.Comment
