I just watched it again, the slip was in the 9th round. There was a shot Khan landed but it appears to me Maidana tripped when he stepped on Khans foot. The point I'm making is if Cortez was that corrupt and trying to help out Khan, why didn't he call that a knock down? Khan thought it was a kd after landing that shot and went to a neutral corner.

Second half of the fight he was dazed from the shots.

His footwaork was baely acceptable, only thing that saved him was head and body movement.

I agree, before Maidana would sit down he squeeze and throw the sponge, soaking the ring.

He thought with Khan jumping around the ring, he could get him to lose his footing, but it ended up taking Marcos down instead.

I too could see what Diaz was trying to do.

              Khan made fight harder

Did any see what I saw that Khan turned his back to Maidana in the 10th rd and then the referee got inbetween to break them up Gabe Montoya from Max Boxing mention this also, funny Victor Ortiz turn his back to Maidana in their fight Actually the fight should have been stopped by the ref because Amir went too long with firing anything back and if Cortzee hadn't stepped in to break them up when Khan turned his back 2 Maidana, Khan was not able to defend or protect himself. Also when Larry Merchant asked Maidana did he want a rematch he didn't see he wanted a rematch so that was a very rough fight for him also in Maidana corner they asked him if he wanted them to stop the fight.
