  • Comments Thread For: Merchant's Take on Khan-Maidana, Bradley-Alexander

Saturday night was a pretty special one for WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan, as he survived a furious effort from his Argentinean foe Marcos Maidana on his way towards capturing a unanimous decision at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Taking place in front of an estimated 4,632 spectators, there was no better seat in the house to witness the incredible fight than that of ringsid commentator Larry Merchant, a staple on HBO’s networks for over 30 years.

Merchant is an old drunk fool.

"They were probably thinking they don't want to get into that kind of battle"

Why even say something like that?

I can't wait till Merchant dies. Throw him in the same casket as Arum. They don't deserve one for themselves.

after watching amir's performance on saturday i have to say i think he will beat both alexander and bradley. prior to saturday i had alexander as the best at 140.. pending what he shows against bradley, who i think he will beat.. amir showed alot of skill, speed, and power. not to mention courage and bravery.. i was very impressed and ill never say anything bad about amir other than he is still not ready for mayweather.

Larry Merchant is like my Grandpa, he's got no time for manners or bull****, I respect and appreciate his point of view. He is also very entertaining the way he speaks and is not affraid to ask blunt questions.

              What impresses you about Alexander?

              Bradley will handle him easily.

In a nutshell, this was Alexander's offensive gameplan against Kotelnik:

Here he was getting knocked down by a bum, LAST YEAR.

Bradley is gonna expose this kid.
