Khan would get hurt. Cotto is a much better boxer than Maidana, a brawler who almost killed him. He has felt brutal power (pacquiao and margarito,) and has a brutal uppercut on the inside (ask pacquiao,) which Khan is wide open to. If they fought after the 6th, they will both tire, but Khan cant take cottos power all night. The reason Maidana couldnt take Khan out is because it took so long to land his .357 right hand. Yes, he was hitting Khan with some nasty shots, but it took a little too long to land flush. Cotto wont have that problem with his boxing.

Cotto has experience and is much stronger and an overall much better boxer than Maidana in comparison.

Cotto may not be prime anymore, but he's still good enough to beat Khan and really the rest of the 140s be it they fight at 147.
