Are people writing off Devon Alexander to quickly?

Before the Kotelnik fight, people had him neck and neck with Bradley as best at 140. He had an off night, big deal, that happens in boxing.

He can cause Bradley problems and may be able to pull a win, what do you guys think?

Bradley will beat him decisively. I don't buy the Kotelnik fight being a "bad night." Alexander was at home, looked in good shape shape, and fired a high output of punches. He still rightfully lost though. And this was against a patient fighter placing shots. Bradley will swarm him all to hell. I actually think Kotelnik's style is better suited to Alexander than Bradley's. And given how that one went, I no longer fancy his chances against Bradley.

i got alexander on this one. i liked him from the first time i saw him. a lot on here change dramatically after 1 fight....someone can go from zero to hero or hero to zero on boxingscene.com after a weekend! LOL

alexander didnt do well last time out...but that doesnt mean he's poor. i think he's got Bradleys game for the next fight...but think its going to be close! alexander has the skills big time!

he hit kotelnik flush all night w/ his left hand and andrei didnt blink

he was exposed as a one handed fighter more than anythng else (a right hander fighting lefty w/ no left handed power whatsoever)

he's certanly not tied for the top w/ bradley, who is a poven well rounded fighter
        and i'm a fan of alexander's
i was ringside for the urango fight

Its a measure of how fans go from one extreme to another. I said many times that I did'nt see in Alexander what other people and media were trying to assert, that he was a good fighter, just no where near as good as the fans/media were making out.

Fans went from overrating him, to dropping him like a hot potato after the Kotelnik fight, but that just a mark of how reactionary fans are, than how much talent Alexander actually has, just cause he's not as! good as they perceived him to be, he's still a very good fighter.

Alexander is going to fight a lot better his against bradley. I think he looked past Kotelnick and it cost him. I'm lobbying for a rematch so that Devon can KO him the next time out.

I don't know about giving Bradley a boxing lesson. But I think he will be focused because this is the big time now. I think it's a 50/50 fight.
