His power is overrated, all those video clips of him sparring made him out to be a ko king, but he hits people with a lot. They thought he had power to take out mosquera in 2 or 3 rounds, hit him with everything and it took ages.

Valero didnt like long guys who were tall and fast. His trainers even said so.

Khan at 140 would hit valero a hell of a lot.
Mosquera was a certifiable badass who didn't get to show it after the Valero fight because he immediately went to prison after. I'd wager you didn't even see that fight in full.

Yes, you also need a ref that will help you through rough times.

Valero would KO Khan within 6 rounds, son.

Something Maidana the chump couldn't do.

Yes, his boxing ability were increasing tremendously. You could tell in the DeMarcos fight his boxing was improving a lot, how he countered and slipped a lot of punches. The guy was only getting better and better.

Stop using Cortez as an excuse for his obvious lack of killer instinct. He had Khan wobbly legged for half a round and couldn't finish him.

          That's weak bro.

Cortez didn't overstate his authority not once throughout the fight.

Especially in the 10th round. He made the right call with every clinch.

          Cut the BS.

Khan would've tasted defeat in the second when Valero would catch him with a bomb and pounce like he did to Pitalua.

Khan would be shellshocked and would have no answer for the follow up barrage.
            Real talk

I wouldn't say Valero would have been the best 140lber...But, I am very confident that he would of KO'd Khan and Madiana last night.

Maidana's a truck. But still somewhat crude in technique. If he got to Amir's chin eventually, Valero would have too. That's all there is to say about it really. Idiots who didn't actually watch him fight and just ignorantly claim that all he had was power after watching one or two highlight clips need to not post in this thread.

I have seen plenty of his fights. A lot of tko's

He has decent speed and power, but hits people with a hell of a lot. Infact his power is no more than maidana who really hurts you.

Heck valeros last fight he hit the guy a lot and he quit, and that was a small step up

Valero has good footwork and darts in and out like manny, and is a southpaw, but manny would be perfect sparring for khan.

Valero is open, hands low, no head movent and khan would be a step up.

I can see khan hurting valero as well.

Coke does help wih workrate and chin apparently, drugs tests needed for it to happen though.

                  Valero is overrated.

Valero's mystic archetypal warrior aura would've been pungent enough to knock Khan on its own.

I'm not sure Valero even needs to throw a punch.

Khan would feel the universal truth from across the ring and his knees would buckle.

                    Valero k.o via black magic.

but for the record, khan doesn't make it past the middle rounds when khan started rope-a-doping.
