I think Khan would probably have won anyway, but by SD instead of UD.
That point deduction by Cortez was clearly wrong. And sometimes when the shorter-armed Maidana was fighting on the inside and starting to get to Khan with his uppercuts, Cortez stepped in and changed the momentum. Cortez gave Khan a few seconds to recover a few times when he was a bit hurt.
Cortez needs to retire, boxing is better off without him.

My thoughts exactly I think Khan would have still won so the help dirties the results. Khan was clearly the superior boxer so let them fight.
Amir got away with pushing Maidana with both hands and punching right after the bell. Amir was even pushing Maidana head down and ocaassionaly hit him. Not even a warining from Cortez. Also Cortez did not allow no inside fighting by breaking them out too quickly. Cortez was all over Maidana, I don't think that it would had an outcome on the fight but didn't like that he was on Maidana's case
Khan didn't need any help and nothing fat boy did changed the outcome but Cortez was clearly a dick to Maidana throughout the fight and it was completely needless.
it was funny whenever he'd break up the inside fighting for some reason, he would step in and cover up amir like he was stopping a bullet, that was a little bullshit.
No. if he really was siding with Khan then he would not have let Maidana throw hundred of uppercuts on Khan's chin. He would have also ruled that "slip" a Knockdown. Amir Khan haters are idiots who are not real Boxing fans.
