No. Not at all. Jones didn't dominate, but B-Hop clearly lost that fight.

      wtf are you talking about...

hopkins and jones were #1 and #2 ranked @ mw in '93 with HOPKINS RANKED #1...they fought for the ibf belt that james toney vacated and HOPKINS LOST...and please don't give that excuse that hopkins was green and jones wasn't...i don't even want to hear it..

calzaghe was one of his most important fights (especially after he said he would never lose to a white boy), and he LOST...and please don't come up with the excuse that calzaghe slaps, because he's been slapping mofos silly way before he fought hopkins...

taylor was young, undefeated, green as grass compared to hopkins, and hopkins went tooth and nail with him and LOST 2X. what a major embarrassment that must have been...taylor ran hopkins out of the division, and all of a sudden hopkins couldn't make weight anymore...after admitting himself to eating salad to stay at 160, all of a sudden he can't make weight?what a joke...hopkins loves to crow that he ruined taylor, but i'd have to give that distinction to pavlik, because pavlik beat him 2X with one ko....hopkins couldn't even get a knockdown after swearing he'd ko taylor in the rematch....again he settles for beating the fighter that beat the fighter that he couldn't beat...lol

i give him some credit for beating the part-time movie actor tarver, who was hanging out with stallone prior to the hopkins fight, but tarver was unfocused garbage anyways....

oscar, tito, pavlik, winky wright, simon brown, the part-time fireman bo james, how many of these wins were either catchweight fights where hopkins was two divisions bigger, or blown up welters when hopkins feasted on middleweights...too many to mention and pleae don't test me...

Not that great UNTIL he faces the real challenge, Chad Dawson. Arguably the most deserving of the title. Pascal is a formality (sorry, Chad was distracted in that fight and can beat Pascal if they ever fought again) In all seriousness, Chad has been calling out BHOP, Tarver, Jones, Calzaghe for a very long time.

So Jones vs Hopkins was a fight that could have gone either way?

Hopkins is already an all time great, top 50.

If he wins and becomes the oldest person to win a major championship, that definitely adds to his legacy.
