Amir Khan can beat Floyd Mayweather Jr - David Haye

"I always knew he had the heart," the WBA heayweight champion, David Haye, said. "And, with all the training he's done with Freddie Roach and Manny Pacquiao, the best fighter on the planet, you could clearly see he's learned how to weather a storm. He knows how to kill the clock. The tricks he didn't know in the Prescott fight, he definitely knows now – and that's why he's still the champion of the world."

Haye also thinks Khan can beat Mayweather. "Mayweather's a boxer. He doesn't really close the range the way Maidana does. The shots Amir was getting hit with tonight are shots that Mayweather doesn't really throw. He is a box-puncher, keeps it long, looks for angles. I believe Amir is as quick as him – and could Mayweather take the onslaught that Amir was taking tonight? I've never seen Mayweather in that position. If that fight does happen, I'm backing Amir all the way."

Amir Khan has said he wants to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr after surviving a battering from Marcos Maidana to retain the WBA light-welterweight title in Las Vegas

I like Amir, and think he can have a nice career, but one thing he should do is stay the eff away from Floyd Mayweather...

Better question, could a fighter of Maidana's level put a onslaught on Mayweather like he did Khan?

Juan Manuel Marquez, one of the most accurate punchers in the game, landed about 12% of his shots on Floyd.

A Mayweather-maidana fight would be laughable. Literally.

I understand what Con's team is doing. They need to bring up Floyd's name every three seconds to get their fighter some pub. Esp since A Mere ain't selling ****.

It's a good thing for A Mere Con and Shiver that Floyd doesn't charge royalties on his brand.

I know he is supporting his own but to say "I've never seen Mayweather in that position" it's just him talking out his azz.

Floyd sucks. He doesn't have the power to hurt A Mere Con.

                Con TKOs Floyd easy.

Khan can't even keep a flat footed already been hurt Maidana from almost Knocking him the hell out. He's has no way to stop a superior boxer at the moment. He needs to develop before he faces PBF. I say 2-3 more top level fights before he even thinks about facing PBF.

Haye doesnt use his head when talking about how other British fighter does against a foreign fighter, He sits on the fence and chats rubbish, He also said Hatton was going to KO Mayweather even when a BBC boxing commentator was telling him "We are talking about Mayweather here"

Khan need another 4 fights before he should even think about fighting Mayweather, Because he would get beatdown if the fight happens now, Mayweather shouldnt be fighting someone like Khan at this stage anyway, It would be a mismatch.
