Maidana = poor mans Ricky Hatton

A prime Ricky Hatton probably would have finished Khan last night in the late rounds with pressure and being on his chest for 12 rounds. He would have finished him when he got buzzed.

Maidana is a great fighter but for someone who actually doesn't do much his stamina is shockingly poor.

He relies too much on closing down the ring and landing the big blows but doesn't have the stamina to do it and relies too much on power.

Khan was moving all night, and even though he started to gas in the late rounds his fitness is exceptional.

I'm dissapointed Khan didn't go for Maidanas body mid rounds, but obviously there was method in the madness.

Khan traded and took some huge shots and ****** uppercuts and he took them. I give him lots of credit for that.

His style is not good with Cortez.

He won't be allowed to hit and run in and hug.

Infact I do feel Hatton has more skill, but his power isn't as good, along with the fact that he actually noucnes into shtos which will hurt a lot more, while Maidana walks into them slowly.

Also his stamina is high, when you throw power shtos like he does, of course you will gas out, along with getting hit to the body and head.

Not sure ifyou box, but try throwing power shots for 3 minutes on pads and see how tiring your arms and body gets, then try it getting hit.

Just 3 minutes kills the body.

If Maidana had better conditioning then he would of finished Khan easy. I agree he seemed to run out of gas half way through. I suppose he took a lot of punishment though that slowed him down alot.

I do hope that there is a rematch and Maidana trains as hard as ever and gets in the shape of his life because he didn't look right. Can't take anything away from Khan though.
