I was impressed with him. It was a big step up in just his 9th pro fight. And, he pretty much dominated. Won every round, you could give Smith the 3rd if you wanted to but that is it, and really busted Smith up.

I want to see him fight Groves soon...That would be a very very good fight.

i think on that performance degale is going to be too much for groves to handle. i will be chearing groves but degale gets a stoppage i think...he is only going to get better and looks a right handful already

I can't see DeGale getting passed European level tbh.

Maybe but I see fire in the kid, looks like he might be much tougher than people give him credit for, he's got plenty of heart and I reckon he can take a punch. Obviously he's not really been tested and I could be proved totally wrong but I think he can go places.

I watched a couple of Degale's fights on youtube and quickly noticed he fights like a poor man's Dmitry Pirog. Dont get me wrong I still like him and I see him getting far but the only thing that has me concerned is his power.

James DeGale is the one. Hes already better than anyone on the domestic scene. He would destroy Groves, i think Adam Booth and Hayemaker are already planning their duck strategy.

Just finished watching the fight.

I wasn't a big fan of Degale cause he slapped too much and fought a lot like an amateur throwing pitty pat punches trying to score points in the past. This looks like a different fighter who has kept the speed but has nice power also, I'll be looking out more for him in the future.

Great performance against the tough but limited Smith.
