It could be argued that he was a little too disciplined at times, but when he stopped boxing and started fighting in the 5th all hell broke loose. THat round was like a JLC V Chico 1 round. I was impressed that Agbeko was able to compose himself again and continue outclassing Perez.

If the winner of Donaire-MOntiel doesn't stick around for the winner of this tourney, I"m going to have to call their asses out. The winner of Mares Agbeko will be a decent size name who's been on at least 3 major promotions on Showtime and there's no one at 122 who you can say the same for.

I know they want Juanma at 126 but it's a straight duck move if they don't wait around for the winner of this tourney.

by far King Kong's best performance ever....as I watched I was wondering if he should be on that p4p top 10....I think he deserves some SERIOUS consideration...no matter what others think, he's definitely one of the ten best p4p in my book!

oh yea...imo he ate too many right hands...even though he took them like a G...but still, he need to hold that left hand up higher....other than that...brilliant work by King Kong!!

You could make a four man tournament with the remaining talent at 118 and it'd very arguably be better than the one currently taking place on Showtime .

        118 is that deep.

Yeah seriously. Agreed on all points. I actually thought Perez was turning the fight around but Agbeko really bounced back in round seven. He has such a weird style, I sometimes wonder how he doesn't get decked. Well...he does but he can take it!

He outmuscled Vid D in a much wider decision than Mares (although, admittedly Vic put on a smarter fight vs Mares) and looked like a giant killer last weekend.

I think it's a legit claim seeing as PFP lists are fake and completely subjective. That was a pfp type perfromance. King Kong definitely cracked my top 10 favorites with that performance. I'd rank him in there somewhere after my top 6 of bradley, sergio, pwilly, adamek, bhop, cotto

i think he knocked bute out of my top 10 favorites cuz I'm getting tired of bute just blasting out ham and eggers right now.

Pac is dropping on my list right now because of his choice of opponents.

i think you're right. a super 6 bantan would have been much more exciting than the super 6 at 168, with better alternate options than Allan Green.

                No doubt.

A tourney with Moreno, Montiel, Cermeno, and Donaire would be great. May not provide us with the same action packed fights like the one happening at the moment, but the skills and talent would certainly be there.

What azclassy display by Agbeko. Rough, but defensive, his ducking and firing that right or left to the body and his "swimming without getting wet" was impressive.

He allowed yonny to get him in a brawl twice but cleared his senses after the round and went back to putting on a clinic in and all action highly entertaining top level prizefight.

I was also impressed with how relaxed he fought. He was fluid and loose in there and was in fantastic shape. I saw him do the same early in the Vic d fight but then he took the easy way out and just Andre warded Vic.

Props to agbeko who I also liked the post fight interview with. He's creeping up my favorite fighters to watch list.
Mares was fighting a guy that's too small for bantam.

I think I may pick agbeko in the finals.
Agbeko boxed beautifully, his style is different, moved in and out. Agbeko AND Perez made me a fan. I was impressed with his performance against Darchiniyian, but he did a great job last night.

Good readings...if only Ghana had a huge media outlet (to draw the attention towards Agbecko) ...like in the land of gullible s: England.
