Thunder vs. lightning lived up to it's name last night.
It had a bit of everything and I was enjoying it. Both fighters won me as a fan last night. They fought their heart out, it seems very easy for e-fans to discredit a night like this. But knowing how tired both were in the 8th, it's incredible how they both lasted out. As I said before, Khan's chin is not bad, and he showed that tonight.
I think Khan might be the fastest boxer in the world right now, but he definitely needs some more power to back those punches up because Maidana was walking through them. There are two factors that pops in up in my mind, the first being that Maidana has never been stopped and always shown tremendous heart, he might just be one of the toughest guys to crack that mixed with a stoneface is a fierce force to fight. Second option is that Khan is not trying to go for the knockout, instead trying to win the fight with flashy 1-2-3-4 combinations, that are so fast that they only touches for a split onehundreds of a second and not gaining the full effect of the bodyweight behind them. This is a guess, but I'm basing it on the fact that when Khan threw a single right hand, he could back Maidana off and even wobble him.
Even though it was delicious to look at those combinations I'd prefer them with a bit more power behind them.
Anyways, fine night of boxing, and I hope to see Maidana getting some big fights, as the talks are already started for the loser of Bradly-Alexander are to meet him.

(My prediction was spot on, before the fight. But I'm trying only the bet on underdogs as of late.)
