Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - At the post-fight press conference to Amir Khan's thrilling decision victory over Marcos Maidana, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer told BoxingScene.com that his plan is to have Amir Khan fight three times next year on HBO. The first fight would take place on an April date in England. HBO has already committed to a trip across the ocean to broadcast Khan's homecoming.

If he fights in England it'll most probably be against Judah. The reason for that is that GBP want to save Khan-Ortiz for the US market (which is a no-brainer), an immediate rematch with Maidana's not 100% necessary (which is the ONLY reason it might be taken), it's too close to Bradley-Alexander to fight the winner of that immediately, and there's no other real option at 140. JMM won't come to England and be made a stepping stone when there's better at 135, Peterson wouldn't get the name check in England, John Murray might wait around at 135 too, and I just can't see a Kotelnik rematch being marketable. Only option's Zab, and it's a good fight.
