Khan won this fight bottom line!!!!! He outboxed him the majority of the rounds, and hurt him to the body and put him down in the first. Maidana had moments, and yes had him hurt in the 11th and won the 12th, but that doesn't mean he won the fight. He was a dirt f**k tonight, first with the attemted elbow, and the constant blows to the back of the head. It was a good fight and of course it wasn't gonna be easy, Maidana is a tough guy.

Everyone was screaming for Khan to fight a big puncher, and he should have silenced some critics tonight because he took some big shots in the 11th, and maintained. His chin was tested and he wethered the storm, you have to give him credit for that. This was no robbery Khan won the majority of the rounds, just because Maidana won about 5 rounds, that doesn't constitute a victory or a robbery. Good fight!!!!!!!

You are right....the critics of Khan thought he would win in an easier fashion. Let's not forget that Maidona was the underdog, not Khan here.Khan did what was expected, but showed signs of some old demons surfacing.

If you really believe Bradley and Alexander are fighting for 3rd place, how the **** did Maidana earn 2nd place? Was it by nearly losing and gassing against an old Demarcus Corley who was ko'd in his prior fight?

Khan (like every fighter) is beatable, but Marcos didn't have the tools to implement a loss for Amir...Bradley would give Amir fits and could hurt him...
Amir doesn't have an iron chin-I wouldn't even suggest he has an average chin. His legs still show the same physical response when he gets hit (like a nervous system reaction),he just responded better by holding and running-that doesn't have anything to do with his chin.

Khan won, he took some monstrous shots and didnt went down dispite being hurt badly. Props to him. Now Joe Cortez is a piece of **** of a referee, it was clear him and HBO wouldnt let Maidana walk off with a W. The compubox numbers where ******ed as always. They where trying to make people believe that Khan was dominating, along with the HBO crew.

I like I have stated previously Ortiz will KO Khan the **** out,

Khan is very open to counter punches and uppercuts.

Even a little lateral movement would have helped maidana out.

When he moved his head(Which he rarely did) Maidana was able to ovoid the flurries easily.

Khan dosen't hit as hard as I though he did.

The body shot was in the perfect spot.

Khan's chin hasn't gotten any better-he just holds or runs better under the situation. Before people call me a hater-I picked Khan to beat Maidana and I think Amir looks tops for the first 4 rounds, but he fades noticeably against a guy who was slow and could have been kept at reach with Amir's jab-where was it????
if you go into the boxingscene archives you will see several articles in which khan and his team stated they would fight maidana next BEFORE the corley fight happened which maidana quite clearly didn't take seriously , he was pudgy and barely made the 140lb limit and noticeably gassed big time in the late rounds, this fight we saw the best maidana there is so far , he started training camp early and came in great condition . If the maidana who fought khan came in like he did against corley i have no doubt el chino would have been stopped. As for amir fading , yeah he was due to maidana's relentless style , khan has never fought someone with maidana's style and looked uncomfortable on the back foot at times. Going from experiencing malignaggi like power to maidana power is a big step lol . I agree about the jab though , khan neglected it several time when he could have used it

I don't expect him to fight Maidana again.

                  Perhaps JMM or Judah.
If they fought today, Marquez would beat the brakes off of this kid... He would just counter him into oblivion... That would not be a good match-up for Amir at this point... He start out good and then arouund round 3-4, it would be all downhill...

Maybe thats what JMM has to do to get Pac Man 3...
