yep Cortez was protecting the money again, take nothing away from Amir but that was very unfair on Maidana.

Khan wasn't "HURT BAD"... I don't consider getting hit with a bomb, slightly losing your balance. hurt bad...

Maidana won that damn fight. He absolutely SLAYED Khan towards the end of that.

JMM vs Katsidis was stopped while Katsidis was still on his feet by a MUCH BETTER referee, and he wasn't taking nearly the amount of punishment as Khan took. Why didn't Cortez stop this fight? Oh yeah thats right, cause Amir Khan is the next "Golden Boy" and no one wanted to ruin his image right?!

Agreed. I have always know Cortez was a bad ref, but tonight it became clear that he is not just bad, but he is corrupt, and is getting paid off by someone somewhere to do the things he does.

The only thing he didn't do to protect Khan was deduct points for hitting him in the face.

he didnt go face first into the canvas like a dead fish and lay prone there for about 6 seconds before getting up wobbly and barely surviving the first round like someone else

I am Argentinian and Khan clearly won that fight. However, Maidana showed he's got balls of steel.

Khan landed everything on Maidana, but the man kept coming forward throwing bombs. He almost had him out in the 10th.

Great fight. Khan showed tremendous speed and skill, and Maidana showed tremendous courage and power.

What are you talking about? Hurt all right, or night? Either way a ****** comment. He was hurt in that one round a few times. Never hurt bad. He wasn't stumbling around the ring unconscious, or even got knocked down.
