New TRAINER VIC. I really hope he reads these. Somebody tell him on Twitter. He needs to hear it, That's Tough Love, Ricky Bobby. A close relationship with ur trainer can only get u so far. Look at Zab Judah, his dad has absolutely ruined his career, and he still won't get a new trainer. Than u look at De La Hoya, who had a close relationship with his trainer, but still knew that to better his career he needed to bring in someone new. Be smart Vic, new trainer. AND move up in weight.

A guy being backed up and countered to death for 7 out of 10 rounds won the fight? Stop it! And open your eyes to reality...

Peterson was the general in there tonite and if not for a questionable 2nd KD call, he would have had a UD...

But I'd have to re-watch and score correctly to be sure. Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention.
Maybe you were listening to the Jim Lampley bias once again... SMH... He does have a way of making you see things that aren't actually happening and not telling you about things that actually are...

Good thing Larry and Roy were with him tonite... :-)

i agree with all the comments on this topic and yes victor won but he looked bad, not being able to finish off lamont was not good at all. some say its his trainer, some say its him, some say hes wrong since his defeat from marcos. what ever the f u c k it is son you(victor) need to get your s h i t together and start being on point kid. you better not fight like that against brandon because that s h i t aint going to fly with him brah

Victor won that fight, mind you he looked pretty shi.tty tonight but he won that fight nonetheless especially with those knock downs.....rematch should be in order

Ortiz definitely should have won, but he is looking like a front runner.

Exactly right! Peterson took over the fight with countershots - Ortiz was being tagged cleanly for the majority of the fight. Except for Rounds 3 and 4 and perhaps Round 1 Peterson dictated the fight.

Peterson showed a HUGE heart and I also credit his GREAT corner, who never panicked, gave great instructions and kept Lamont focused in the moment. They stuck to their game plan and out-quicked Ortiz all night. Ortiz got outboxed plain and simple - without the big 3rd Round - he loses a UD...

I've never seen someone "win" a fight and look so bad doing it. Guess that's why the judges dropped a draw on Vic. The other judge had Peterson winning by two or three points? WTF
