Khan JUST turned 24... he's still developing... he has absolutely no business mentioning the likes of Floyd, Pac, etc as possible opponents in the next 2-3 years. But he has had back-to-back quality wins against World Class opponents and Maidana is his toughest test yet, and he proved his chin could hold up against a bomber. Him surviving the 10th was nothing short of pure heart and determination, he was done.

But let's not make it as if this fight took him out of the elite status or anything like that. He fought one of the best in his division and got a W in a closely contested bout. Need I remind people:

Taking 200 uppercuts from the hardest puncher in the division is an impressive feat. If he can take so many of Maidana's bombs, then punches from any other boxers at light-welterweight or welterweight wouldn't phase Khan at all.

where was mayweather at this age??? where was pac??/ ppl use this age thing as an excuse, but it tells u alot about a fighter's ceiling when they have a hard time with fighters they should really dominate. at this point in his career mayweather was dominating corralles, who is essentially a more skilled version of maidana. imagine, just imagine what floyd would have done to that miadana at any point in his career?

khan is good, but he's no mayweather and hes def no pacquaio, no matter how hard he tries.

I am a Khan fan, I am a Money fan. But atm this fight is silly. Money would maximize all the mistakes Khan makes and win a UD.

Khan isnt the finished article yet mind you.

            No Way!

Great Fight By Amir Khan. I mean he did get rocked and what not, but really he held on for dear life. After the 9th he really didnt don much but run and matador himself all over the ring. Def a good fight, no where near PBF or Pac. Would like to see him fight Berto. But Berto beats him hands down...\

and yea, castillo is much much more skilled than maidana, and he was also much larger than mayweather not to mention the shoulder injury. and yet, mayweather still didnt get his block knocked off like khan. stop the comparison.

Mayweather may not be as big a ****er as Maidana but his shots are crisp, accurate, sharp and often you don't see them coming. I doubt Khan would even make it to the end of the fight if this fight happened. Mayweather tends to stay in the pocket more often these days and counter.
