Exactly who didn't want to fight Margarito? He won some second rate vacant belt by beating Antonio Diaz. Then, proceeded to lose to Santos. Paul Williams had to sue him to get a fight, he lost that one. I know that in today's boxing world, its seen as an incredible feat to beat guys coming off loses. But in the real world, you lose, you go to the back of the line. Especially when you lose to a bum like Santos and an untested prospect like Williams was. All that, Most Feared Fighter crap was just an Arum creation. No one feared Margarito. There's just no point in top fighters fighting guys in the loser's bracket.

You can't knock Cucaracha for trying.

Just another faded fighter for Pacquiao to feast on. Mosley has a low boxing IQ and when his reflexes and stamina decreased, he had no answer for it. His jab is a joke. This fight is gonna be a massacre. Pacquiao should be ashamed of this.

I would rather see berto, but the options are pretty slim, I mean if it's jmm or mosley, I'll take mosley. Don't really think jmm can make it past 2 rounds, five at the very most. At least it will be exciting for how ever long it lasts.

Well i wont say anyone fears him its just was hard for him to get fights cuz he is very dangerous and Pwill is a tough fight for anyone cuz of hes size and anyone at the WW division has their hands full against Pwill

I wish Money would end this Top Rank/Pacquiao circus already. Mosley's a senior citizen. GET ME A CONTENDER!!! Garbage like this is the reason MMA has become more popular than boxing.

Fighting "good" or "too good" fighters will be exciting too, but we don't get those now do we?

I like Pac but don't hold lower standards for him. Accepting Clottey, Margarito and now Mosley is just not acceptable. Especially if one's agenda is to discredit Mayweather... there is no logic to it and all you can do is say "its better than taking a vacation"... That still doesn't justify pac picking and choosing fighters at certain weight classes at certain weights... let alone somehow never fighting fighters coming off wins, or are undefeated or are at the top of there game. Its a trend that you can only counter or argue with opinions. Not to mention Arum just making it perfectly clear that fighting the best isn't what he's about. he doesn't care what anyone thinks. As long as it makes money.

But yes exciting? Pac makes it exciting. I'm just ready for Mayweather, Martinez, Berto, JMM, Alexander, Bradley exciting. Not a 40 year old losing Mosley who's the fighter of 5 years ago followed by Cotto again. Its just disappointing as a fan of Pac, as a fan of the sport and a fan who tries to stick up for it when a dumb ass tries to call boxers p*ssyies compared to MMA guys (not implying that you do, but some of my friends do. Them bastards)

If you don't view Pac as the Best P4P Fighter today, that's fine. Everyone is perfectly entitled to their own opinion. It's also okay that the vast majority thinks otherwise.

We all know that Mayweather is the fight everyone want to see. But since that ain't happening now, anyone else is a piss-poor second choice. People will ***** whoever gets picked from among the choices you mentioned. You and I know it.

Shane is a tune-up fight at this point in time. It is what it is. The good news is that Pac still has about three more fights left. One or the other opponents that you mentioned WILL get their turn. And you can be sure that casual boxing fans will be tuning into those remaining fights, thereby ensuring that boxing gets mainstream attention in the process. If that's not good enough for demanding fans like you, then that's fine too.

Margarito was never an elite fighter.

Posters who compare the current version of Martinez with ANY version of Margarito, are fkn idiots who should not be taken seriously.
