WHOA, There's a technology now where well know how hard a boxer punches in the fight!

Because Khan and Maidana refused to wear PunchForce sensors inside the cuffs of their gloves, HBO will not debut the technology tonight as planned. PunchForce shows how hard a fighter is punching during each round... http://www.lvrj.com/sports/khan-maxi...4.html?ref=444

One more reason for geeks to argue and debate pound 4 pound status, while avoiding the obvious.

I wish it was a requirement (if it doesn't hinder power ofcourse). Would be a nice stat to see how much horsepower 'El Chino' packs in that frame.

its goo so now people can shut up and stop thinking they are expects base off they eyes. but it is bad to the fighters knowing such and such only punches 500 pounds per square inch. compare to the last opponent who hits at 800. some fighters might not take a guy serious thinking it wont hurt or bother him.

              I like this idea.

I'm not sure how it works but I'm pretty sure it's something that would go between the padding on the inside of the glove.

Those sensor are so small, light and unnoticeable that it would work perfectly.

I know it would have been great to see how hard that punch Martinez landed on Williams or how hard Manny's combinations were that he was landing on Margarito.

I can see a lot of new technology being implemented to make these fights interesting.

i think they should put little microphones in the gloves so that the punches will sound louder like in movies just a thought add some excitement. prob hear more of the trash talking going on in the ring too

those pads are very flat an small looks like tape. if you ever watch deadliest warriors or any of those fight sports shows. the pad they use to test pounds per square inch are flat and small. so they could be added easy to the inside of the leather above the padding if made correctly.

Im dubious. Those psi machines arent totally acurate, i doubt these are either. We know who the punchers are and we know its about timeing and placement as much as anything. When i say we i mean the posters on here who arent complete fanboy idiots btw!

I think its just gonna be another way for clowns to argue and ****

Have to admit tho i am intrested.
