The trainer of Antonio Margarito, Robert Garcia, is very confident about a repeat victory over Miguel Cotto in 2011. Margarito stopped Cotto in eleven rounds to capture the welterweight crown in 2008. Since that win, Margarito was caught with handwraps containing a plaster-like substance. Marg showed a few things in the Manny and Garcia fights that don't bode well for him against any A level fighter. He gassed in the Garcia fight and he gassed even worse in the Manny fight, simply look at his punch output. Sure, he was coming forward but he was throwing less than 30 punches in the 9, 10 and 11th rounds. He isn't going to "overwhelm" Cotto if he is throwing the same amount of punches Judah was late in that fight. Secondly, he was nearly 20 pounds heavier than Manny and he only hurt him with a single body shot. Against Cotto it seemed like every punch was coming from a Heavyweight, Mosley admitted he was never even hurt and Garcia was actually pressuring Margarito in the last few rounds.

Margarito is DONE, but the fact is he never really was. Aside from Cotto he has no big wins to speak of, and thats the main fight in which believe he used plaster given all the evidence to point in that direction. Even with the plaster he got completely out classed by Cotto, it'll be the same situation except not nearly as close a fight. I see Cotto winning 9 or 10 rounds in this fight and possibly losing the later rounds only, he's got Steward in his corner, he's a better fighter, and he's simply got more left in the tank.
