Nah. He should let the Ortiz fight build even more momentum. Khan-Ortiz would be a huge super fight in like 2 years if they both keep on winning. They are still young. They should let this fight build up.
Khan is so lucky to be in a lucrative weight division. 140-154 has some pretty big names.

This is good ambition from Khan man .Good move I think .If he wants a shot at Mayweather he should atleast fight a top WW or 2.That's what they say there's no shortcuts in boxing man .Hatton moved up JMM moved up both failed .I think if he ever wants a shot he should establish himself a top WW first .

Don't know man because at the end of the day Maidana's the best puncher of this era compared to only Edwin Valero I read so I say if Khan beats him he could maybe move up with Freddie Roach man ( great trainer ) and take enough power up with him .

What does fighting clottey prove. Clottey lost all his big fights.

It be wise for Khan to stay at 140. At 140 he has the skills to be the top dog. He could lose to either Alexander or Bradley but he certainly could beat them. I think he is barking up the wrong tree against Berto. Berto is bigger, stronger, and just as fast as Khan. He's a bit more rough in there too. I think Berto would be a very difficult fight for Mr. Khan.

                      Khan should take

                      Decemeber 11 - Maidana

April 2011 - JMM at 140lbs, or Paul McCloskey (an all-British fight in the UK, a homecoming fight of sorts)

                      August 2011 - Bradley/Alexander winner
, to unify the belts and for the lineal title at 140lbs (If Bradley beats Alexander the WBC belt would become vacant)

Winning all of those fights would put Khan top-7 P4P imo. He'd have wins over Kotelnik, Malignaggi, Maidana, JMM/McCloskey, Bradley/Alexander, and would have unified one of the strongest divisions in boxing becoming lineal champion.

December 2012 - Take on somebody like Zaveck at Welterweight, or Mike Jones or even a money-spinning domestic super-clash with Kell Brook.

                      April 2012 - Andre Berto.

Could be P4P top-3 by late 2012 if he wins title(s) at Welterweight if PBF and Pacman have retired.
