BoxingScene.com was advised that Showtime televised doubleheader is being discussed for the month of March at the Bell Centre in Montreal. The two dates being kicked around for the doubleheader are March 12 and March 19. In the main event, IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (27-0, 22KOs) will make the seventh defense of his title. The opponent has not been finalized. In the co-feature, IBF super bantamweight champion Steve Molitor (33-1, 12KOs) will defend his title in a trilogy meeting with mandtaory challenger Takalani Ndlovu (31-6). Molitor stopped Ndlovu in 2007 and won a twelve round decision in their March rematch.

There is no one at 168 to fight who isn't in the tourney. Kessler won't be recovered from surgery and Dirrell is probably physically able to but contractually unable to because of his idiocy and exaggerated injuries. Bute won't be moving up, if he was he would have taken a fight with Pascal because no other fight could make him that much money. Therefore it will be one of Stieglitz, Sartison or Mendy. Oh and I'm fairly certain both Stieglitz and Sartison turned down a fight with Bute when he ended up fighting Brinkley. The division has some good fighters but there aren't too many guys left who have anything in the tank.
